Training of Talents

Thermoregulation

Published in Nature

Climate change and extreme weathers are great threats to public health, and susceptible population such as elders, pregnant women, infant and children are especially vulnerable, the Center places efforts on novel research to investigate the molecular mechanism of temperature regular.

Specialized Analysis Platform

Screening of Drug, Toxin and Food safety Analysis Platform

Published in Rapid Commun Mass Spectrom and Journal of Mass Spectrometry. Among them, one is even featured on the cover of Journal of Mass Spectrometry.

We are strategic alliance with the Rapid Screening Research Center at National Sun Yat-sen University. Facilities of the Rapid Screening Research Center is located in the Research Center for Environmental Medicine which included high throughput platform to detect drugs and toxins (eg. pesticides) from biological sample (blood or urine). The Center had established a stock of 80 toxic references to aid emergency medical responses

Environmental Bioinformatics Analysis Platform

Published in J Cheminform, a top journal in bioinformatics

The Platform integrate a database of chemical compounds, protein-protein interactions, gene function, pathway, diseases and other big data to provide analysis for more than 400,000 compounds. The Center hosts one of the largest environmental bioinformatics databases in the world.

Food Safety Analysis and Predictive Modeling Platform

In collaboration with the National Center for High-performance Computing and Department of Health, Kaohsiung City Government, the Center uses the Big Data and the deep learning from Artificial Intelligence to perform surveillance and prediction of food safety incidents. We establish an early warning mechanism on food safety incidents in order to gather information of food safety and direct local and central government to the issue immediately.
